My Birthday Wish: Help TwoHearts Become a Registered Not-for-Profit

Every year, birthdays remind us to celebrate another trip around the sun. This year, I want my birthday to be about something bigger than me.

My name is Joe, and I'm the Founder & Program Coordinator at TwoHearts Queensland. Through our Crisis Response Program, we work alongside people experiencing crisis by providing practical support, advocacy, and pathways towards stability. Every day we see the difference that timely support can make, but we also know there is so much more we could do.

Right now, the TwoHearts Crisis Response Program operates as a for-profit organisation. While this has enabled us to begin delivering vital support to people in crisis, it was never our long-term vision.

Our next step is to become a registered not-for-profit and, ultimately, a registered charity. This transition will open the door to grants, partnerships, and new funding opportunities, allowing us to grow our services and reach more people who need support.

To make this happen, we need to raise $1,300 to cover the costs of establishing our not-for-profit. As a small team of two, supported by an incredible volunteer Board of Directors, this is a significant milestone for us and one we can't achieve alone.

My birthday is on 12 August, and instead of asking for gifts, I'm asking you to help make this vision a reality. If you've ever wanted to support the work we're doing at TwoHearts, this is one of the most meaningful ways you can help.

Every cent donated through this fundraiser will be reinvested directly into TwoHearts to cover the costs of establishing our not-for-profit and building a stronger foundation for the future. No funds will be used for personal benefit.
