My Birthday Fundraiser #Blessed30
Donation protected
Hello my family and friends,
Over the past 29 years, life has been a blessed roller coaster. Losing my biological dad when I was 5 years old, living with a heart problem, moving to the U.S. from the Philippines, eventually receiving 3 HEART SURGERIES (after each one the risk of dying/ complications increases), and moving to a different state away from my family. I have been blessed and very thankful to God.
For my 30th birthday, I am doing a fundraiser. I am trying to raise $1000 or more to be divided and given to the Ronald McDonald House in Portland Oregon, Carmelites Monastery of Our Lady of Maravillas, and people who need help in my Philippine hometown.
Why choose these 3 groups?
Ronald McDonald House
This place is special to me because my family and I stayed here during my 1st and 2nd heart surgeries. The house was close to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center, where I had my surgeries. Very helpful and convenient for my parents and sister when they were scared, stressed, and anxious. Imagine parents who are so scared and stressed because their kids are very sick. Having this wonderful resource eases their stress because it’s convenient, cheaper, comfortable than a hotel. Plus the camaraderie between different families was admirable and helpful. Let’s help give the kids and their families a place to live.
Carmelites Monastery
My mom learned I had a hole in my heart in a very unprofessional and mean way from a nurse. This place helped my mom cope and stay positive. The nuns kept praying and they have become friends to my family throughout the years. Donations help them eat, go to the doctors, pay for utilities, etc. They have surrendered themselves to God and to serve the community.
People Who Need Help
There are always individuals who need help especially at my hometown. Everyone goes through hardships in life like no money to buy food, no shelter, no work due to age or health, no money to buy milk for their baby. Any help will be greatly appreciated by people who are going through hardships. Let’s help them eat and for the babies to drink milk.
None of this would be possible without you, so thank you for being apart of this goal. This is one of my biggest and scariest goal yet, but I know that together, we can make anything happen. Here's to YOU, and more years of impact. Let's do it! May God bless you
