My Big Fat Emergency Queer Wedding

We had some extremely bad news. A close family member has been diagnosed with a terminal illness and the timeframe does not look great. It's important to my partner and myself that they are there to see us get married - which means we need to have a wedding very soon!

My partner and I have been together for over 10 years and engaged for about half as long. We figured the wedding would just happen when it happened and we could be super breezy and no big deal about it all. WRONG. We have about 3 months to organise and fund a whole wedding inviting all of our family and friends.

We are raiding our savings, selling off whatever we can and of course - asking pretty desperately for any help we can get on this front. If you can spare any money to help us have a big fat emergency queer wedding or even if you have connections with businesses in Cornwall that offer wedding services then please reach out and give us a hand!

I don't expect to reach the target at all, it's just a rough figure of what people said weddings can cost when I asked. But should we surpass it by some miracle then I'd like to use the excess to take this family member on holiday. That would be neat.
