What began as one women’s sober living home has grown into a mission far bigger than I ever expected.
By the grace of God, and with the kindness of people who have supported us along the way, My Best Friend’s Place has been able to provide a safe place for both women and men in recovery. Now God has opened the door to something bigger: a campus where we can welcome and serve many more people.
A recovery home is so much more than a bed. For someone in the earliest, most vulnerable stages of sobriety, it can be the place where they find stability, community, and the courage to keep going.
The campus is already furnished, and we’re grateful for that. We’re raising funds to rebuild the meeting space, make improvements throughout the property, stock the pantry, and supply a library for our residents. These are the everyday things that help make a place feel cared for, and help the people living there feel cared for, too.
I truly believe the people who come through our doors are souls God has entrusted us to help guide through some of the hardest moments of their lives. If you feel led to donate, share, or pray for this mission, thank you. You are helping us make room for more people to find hope and a real chance at lasting recovery.
