I’m delighted to be returning to South Africa in November for my 8th year as a volunteer with Mellon Educate. As a veteran volunteer, I am back on the tools and taking part in another Building Blitz which will help build schools and create better opportunities for children and communities in need.

Over the years, I have had the privilege of working alongside incredible volunteers, helping to build schools and seeing first-hand the difference these projects can make to children, families and entire communities.

There is something very special about coming together with a group of people, working long hours and getting stuck into the building work, knowing that what we are creating will continue to benefit children for many years to come. The friendships, experiences and memories made along the way are something I will always value.

I know just how important these schools are and how much the Building Blitz can change lives. I’m proud to be able to continue playing my part and to give my time, experience and energy.
