This week, my incredible dad is taking on one of the most iconic climbs in the Tour de France – Mont Ventoux. At 80 years old, he has trained with unbelievable dedication to conquer this mountain.

Over the past year, he has been in the gym every single day, sometimes working out and then heading for a run after!! If he has not been in the gum he has been out on long bike rides and hill climbs. His determination, resilience, and positivity have been nothing short of inspiring. His doctor has given him a full health clearance, his blood pressure is perfect, and honestly, he seems to be defying all expectations of what’s possible at his age.

I originally wanted to fundraiser for the below but I told him my plans and he said he would like to raise £150 for The Christchurch bicycle club in Dorset for their 150th anniversary as they do so much for the community. But any extra to treat him would be amazing also!! HE JUST TURNED 80 YEARS OLD!!!! So it would be lovely to treat him when we are in France after we have done the climb.

I want to celebrate this huge achievement and make the finish line extra special for him.

As many of you know, I’ve recently started a new business and things are so financially tight right now, but I would love nothing more than to make this moment unforgettable for my dad.

If you know him, you’ll know what an extraordinary human being he is, kind, humble, and always there for others, he has quite literally been the best father a girl could ever wish for!! Now, I’d like to do something special for him.
