MY 2 SPECIAL HEROS

Donation protected
3.5 years ago my wonderful husband of 27 years, went to our local petrol station to was he's car, he was a had many many health complications, including being a triple transplant patient,
This day was a good day for him and still being able to drive was he's freedom.. This particular day a Thursday afternoon, started off fairly normal for us what follows was a complete nightmare.
As hubby was washing he's car at our local Tescos petrol station a queue began to build up of others wishing to do the same once hubby had finished, one guy in a van directly behind Gary (hubby) noticed mid wash he fell to the group without any warning, this gentleman jumped out of he's van to see if he could help only to see hubby was not OK, he was in fact dead, without a 2nd thought he immediately started CPR while others came over to offer help to which he (Mark) said yes ring 999, after what felt like eternity about 20 mins later 6 Ambulances arrives along side 4 police cars, The paramedics thanked Mark for he's herioc effects and ultimately saved Gary's life till help arrived.
Mark then went through Gary's lockets and car to see if he had a mobile, and then went on to call the only person he could find in he's contacts which was mum, he then phoned my mother in law and we all rushed down there to chaos everywhere,
Gary then spent almost 10 weeks in Harefiled hospital, having another cardiac arrest not long after and us being told he would likely pull through. The 1st arrest he had that Thursday with Mark keeping blood pumping through he's body, he came round a few days after with no apparent brain damage as we were all unsure how long he's brain had been starved of oxygen, the Dr's also made a point of saying whoever done the CPR had done a marvellous job as all of he's ribs had been broken so this was a sign someone knew what they were doing.
Before the police drove me to Harefield hospital that afternoon, we exchanged telephone numbers with Mark so we could update him on Gary's health and saying thank you to him is not enough, He will always be my hero, also my hubby.
After Gary spending time in hospital it came to him being discharged the only person he wanted to see was Mark, so he came to visit us that evening and brought Gary a 'welcome home cake' he is just the kindest gentleman and so humble he had no 1st aid training was not medical in any way, this was just done through guidance of 999.
Once Gary was settled and appeared to be doing well, we all met up a few times which was lovely.
Sadly 6 months after Mark came into our lives we very sadly lost my husband, but Mark got us an extra 6 months we would never of had,
Fast forward 1 year Mark and our only child Bethany got together after falling in love they are due to be married in Januray of 2026 and 7 months ago gave birth to tue most beautiful baby boy Zack, I would love to do something really special for them so am trying desperately to raise some funds so that I can pay for a honeymoon for them,
If it was not for my hubby I wouldn't have the most amazing grandson and another one on the way and a future son in law, who we all love so dearly. I know My husband will be looking down as proud as
can be,
Just a thank you is never enough, its the most beautiful story and I cant wait to tell my grandchildren all about 'grandad' and what a real hero daddy is
