SPONSORING NEW REFUGEES THROUGH THE WELCOME CORPS

My name is Bana NEAMEN, and I am a coordinator for the sponsorship group "Simon" Together with a team of five dedicated individuals Amanuel ZEREA, Asmerom Furzum, Biri Ghebreyesus, Rahwa Bukuru we have come together to sponsor a refugee through the Welcome Corps program, an initiative launched by the U.S. Department of State in 2023. This program empowers community groups to help refugees resettle and thrive in the United States, fostering stronger and more inclusive communities.

Our sponsorship group has committed to supporting NEAMEN, Simon Neamen, a resilient individual seeking a fresh start and a better future through the Welcome Corps Phase 2 program. To fulfill this commitment, we are fundraising to secure the necessary resources that will enable Tekeste to successfully adjust to her new life here.
