In Irish, if you want to say “I trust you” — when you talk about trust, there’s a beautiful phrase from West Kerry where you say, “mo sheasamh ort lá na choise tinne.” Meaning, “You are the place where I stand on the day when my feet are sore.”
As friends of the Ennis Family, this is the bond that has been built over all of the years of knowing, loving and trusting Jim, Deirdre, Meaghan & Mackenzie. That is what we have with each other. This is what the Ennis’ mean to all of us.
We know this is an extraordinarily difficult time and we all want to help. Jim has been fighting for over a year now and the medical bills continue. With Jim as your friend, you have a man who knows you, always sees you, always wants to know how you are, always wants only the best for you, always cares about how your life is going, always takes time to ask, always shows up, always stays, always roots and always cheers for all that you do, with a strength of enthusiasm, conviction, concern, trust and a love that is thick. When Jim coaches your kid he gives all his attention, all his concern, all his exuberance and enthusiasm and helps in any and all ways that he can possibly imagine. Jim is a constant presence in so many of our lives making us laugh and rooting for us all from the bleachers, the stands, the sidelines, the theater seats and his classic Toyota Camry.
If you are fortunate to have Jim as a friend, you know he would be the first to want to help. Please contribute to this Go Fund Me for the Ennis Family to assist with Jim’s medical expenses. No amount is too small.
