Hello Kershaw County,

My name is Samuel Arledge. I’m 19 years old, and I’ve been thinking for a while about how I can give back and make a real impact in our community.

After sharing my idea for Kershaw KindWorks, I received an overwhelming amount of support and encouragement from people in the community asking me to take this further. Because of that support, I’ve decided to officially move forward and make this project a reality.

I’m starting Kershaw KindWorks — a community effort where, I will provide free yard work and lawn care for those who need it most. This is especially for elderly residents, individuals with disabilities, and families going through tough times who may need a helping hand.

I’ve seen how many people quietly struggle to keep up with yard maintenance, and I truly believe a strong community takes care of its own.

Right now, I’m doing what I can with what I have, a truck and basic tools, and I am committed to putting in my time and effort each week to help as many people as possible. Everything I do will remain completely free for those receiving help.

To get this project off the ground and ensure I can do it safely and consistently, I am raising funds to purchase reliable equipment, including a mower and a small trailer.

All funds will be kept in a separate account dedicated solely to Kershaw KindWorks, and will only be used for equipment, maintenance, and supplies needed to carry out this mission.

I’m not someone who is used to asking for help, but after seeing the level of support and encouragement from this community, I’m ready to take this to the next level and get to work helping people as soon as possible.
