Mutual aid request for trashed house and stolen money

Hi all,

After being in the hospital for a while and subletting my place to someone I thought was a friend (who had no place to stay), I just returned home to a trashed apartment. Not only did the tenant not pay rent for the last 2 months putting me in debt, but all of my belongings were ruined and the apartment was unliveable. My mattress and bedding are soiled, my dishes are smashed or have been thrown away, my grocery cards and physical money were stolen, my patio furniture is all broken, my sentimental belongings are ruined/broken/missing, my household products are all used up, my carpet it stained and burnt, my dresser is burnt and ruined, ETC! The apartment was so unliveable that I had to bus out to the country to stay with family. There was literal feces in my bedroom.

I am so embarrassed to be telling the world this and asking for help again, but this sublet has cost me a fortune and as someone who is unable to work currently due to severe disabilities and just getting out of the hospital, I could really use some support and a leg up.

I promise to give back when I can. Right now I am organizing free 2-Spirit workshops as my way to support community.
