Mutual Aid: Help Hafsa and Bashar Survive (Every Bit Helps)

Help us rebuild our lives without being forced to start from scratch.
Imagine you've been preparing your home—decorating, buying new furniture and clothes—ready to begin a new life. But in an instant, you were denied the chance to watch your favorite movie on your cozy couch, share a meal at your dining table, and enjoy a quiet morning breeze in your own space. This is exactly what happened to me, Hafsa, and my fiancé, Bashar.
Bashar and I were set to start our lives together as a newly married couple. We planned a wedding celebration for October 19, but the Israe|ı occupation turned our dreams and efforts to ash. They killed the people who should have attended our wedding, they destroyed the place where we should have celebrated, they destroyed the wedding dress store where I chose my dress. They even destroyed the office of the photographer of our wedding.
They changed our happiness into sadness, our weddings into funerals;
they left nothing but sorrow.
Another side of this suffering and is that I was close to graduating with a degree in English, while Bashar, a bank employee, was on the brink of a promotion. But Israel viciously bombed my university and Bashar’s workplace. The genocide tore us apart and our world was turned upside down. Instead of being together under one roof, I am now in northern G@za, where all types, shapes, and colors of calamity exist. There is no food, no water to drink, no running water to use, and if there is, it will cost you your life to buy it. No money comes in. and no connection. To put it simply, no life.
Bashar, meanwhile, is in the far reaches of R@fah, a city warned to be soon invaded by Israe|ı offensive forces.
While time can’t be reclaimed, you can help us start anew without having to begin from zero.
Sincerely,
Hafsa

UNM SJP members are in direct contact with Hafsa. Her story is verifiable and we can confirm that the funds from this sale will reach her directly. We are very aware of the ways that corruption and exploitation make funds difficult to reach, but we are determined to make sure Hafsa can access the funds she needs as soon as possible.
Please know that this small action can mean so much to Hafsa and Bashar. Her life has been destroyed by the US-funded Israe|i government, but your humanity in this moment can make a difference to help rebuild.
Money will go to clothing and food- necessities for survival in the winter!
