Mutual Aid Request For Sha’am Khan

Queer Halal Time is raising funds on behalf of one of our community members (Alias name: Sha’am Khan for safety reasons) who has been kicked out of their family home and is now facing urgent housing and survival needs.

They are a former community organizer with Queer Halal Time and played a key role in shaping the space into what it is today - a place of care, connection, and justice for queer Muslims.

Just a day ago, the few belongings they had including essential medication and their bike were stolen from their car, where they were temporarily storing everything.

They’re in a vulnerable position and urgently need support to find travel to a safe place, replace stolen necessities, and stabilize.
