Mutual Aid for Kentucky Equal Justice Center (KEJC) Workers

In the last week of January, several staff members at the Kentucky Equal Justice Center (and its immigration clinic, Maxwell Street Legal Clinic) were laid off without much notice.

We are raising money to help these staff members pay the bills. KEJC’s workers helped people across Kentucky get the health care, food, shelter, and security we all deserve. Let’s make sure they have what they need in this liminal moment.

We will make a pro rata disbursement of these funds around Feb 20 to any affected KEJC staff member who wants a share. Right now, we think there are seven staff members who will get a share.
