Brother Mustafa Mokhalad, a beloved member of our Blaine and Coon Rapids community, passed away a few days ago in a tragic accident while driving back to Minnesota from Nebraska. His car slipped off the road and fell into a lake. He had his two daughters and two sons with him. During this accident, his 5-year-old son also returned to Allah alongside him.

By the mercy of Allah, the other children were rescued, but they are now deeply traumatized and in critical condition, receiving medical care in Nebraska. Their mother, who was waiting for them in Minnesota, just reunited with her surviving children two hours ago, holding them while her husband and youngest son remain in the hospital in Nebraska, awaiting transport back home in approximately a week, insha’Allah.

This family is new to the United States and has no relatives here. They have no support system except their brothers and sisters in Islam. We are their family now.
