Every child deserves the chance to keep making music.

Through Ceoil Cliste, I work with primary school children across Ireland, introducing them to practical, joyful music-making through games, instruments, and creativity. Every week I see how powerful music education can be — building confidence, focus, and a real love of learning.

However, one challenge comes up again and again:

when the programme finishes, many children don’t have access to an instrument to continue their musical journey.

I’ve never received sponsorship or external funding for this work. Ceoil Cliste has grown through schools, families, and word of mouth.. and now I’d love to take the next step.

The aim of this fundraiser

This fund is being created to purchase ukuleles and guitars that will be given free of charge to children who complete the Ceoil Cliste programme.

The goal is simple:

• Remove barriers to music education

• Encourage continued learning beyond the classroom

• Ensure children can practise, explore, and enjoy music at home

How the funds will be used

All money raised will go directly towards instruments:

• Approximately €50 funds one ukulele

• Approximately €120 funds one beginner guitar

Instruments will be distributed to students after they complete the programme. No child or family is ever asked to contribute.
