Help Murals That Bridge Raise $15,000 to Transform Another “Gateway” to Our Community Into a Beautiful Work of Art!
The Murals That Bridge team is at it again! So far, it's been supported by TreeTown Murals , Constellations Consulting , Lucie & Larry Nisson, Stamps School of Art & Design at U of Michigan , Columbia Asset Management, Josh Pokempner, Peter T Allen & Associates, Mark Berg & Fran Lewy-Berg, Destination Ann Arbor, The Harry A. and Margaret D. Towsley Foundation, Bank of Ann Arbor, Council Member Lisa Disch, and other community members!
You've all witnessed the amazing restoration of the railroad overpass and wing walls on Huron St. and First St., the first of a two-fold public art initiative. This major structure is seen by drivers as they enter or exit the west side of downtown. This successful community effort turned a crumbling, rusted structure into a beautiful work of art that welcomes those driving into our city.
This summer, we are doing it again, and we need your help to raise the remaining $15,000 needed to complete the project!
This time, we will restore and turn the overpass and wing walls on the bridge at North Main St. and the Argo Dam into another large-scale work of art. The image will "Welcome" the 80,000+ locals and visitors coming and going from Ann Arbor via M-14, and will also feature the word "Gratitude" on the south-facing side.
We are very excited about this remarkable feat. Please see the impressive concept images below, designed by Tree Town Murals' Partner and Creative Director Danijel Matanic!
Now we want to give YOU a chance to be part of this project! Donate today, to help beautify Ann Arbor. Thank you in advance for your support.
Please Note: If you would like to donate $500 or more, please direct message Laura Russello via this site before donating.

Murals That Bridge is now an award-winning project! In 2025, the project received a Golden Paintbrush award from the City of Ann Arbor. The award recognizes individuals, organizations and projects that bring creativity, civic engagement and artistic excellence to public spaces across the city.
We would like to give special thanks to those who generously donated to the "Murals That Bridge" project on Huron St. and First St. Because of you, our City is more vibrant, colorful, and beautiful.
