The revitalization of urban alleyways is happening all over the world and Mural Alleyway in Hillcrest is one such space~ and we need your help to make it better! We'd like to add market lights above the alleyway to create a safe and inviting space!
Mural alley is a unique space in our urban neighborhood where artists have created an outdoor art gallery on the walls of a typical urban alley. There are over a dozen large murals throughout the alley and in the neighborhood nearby!
We’d like to continue to add to this space by adding market light strings over the alleyway to add to the ambiance of the space and create a safer space at night.
Regionally known artists like Fizixx, Max Mosis, and Glow have added their art to this wonderful neighborhood space. It’s rare to visit the alley and not find people taking a selfie with one of the amazing murals as a backdrop. Adding lights to the alleyway will enable people to view the murals at night. Your contribution to this project will fund the purchase of the lights, labor, and renting a boom truck for installation. All the money raised will be used for this project. Your contribution will pay for labor, materials, lights, and a boom truck to install them! As soon as we reach our goal, we'll begin installation!
Once we get the project completed, we’ll have a cocktail party celebration in the alleyway, and all donor will be invited to help us turn on the lights.
