Munro Bagging for the Ruth Strauss Foundation

Hi i’m Will and i’m walking over 200km solo unsupported in the highlands over 3 days in August (with a travel day in the middle) for the Ruth Strauss foundation.

The foundation is a charity that mainly works to support families with incurable cancer diagnoses (specifically of the lungs) and also the events that will follow such diagnoses - which can suddenly creep up on anyone. This is something really close to me - having been experienced by my Uncle’s family in 2024 and for that reason I think it is a really important cause.

To summarise quickly what i’m doing - over the course of 3 days (and some nights) with a travel day in between - I will be walking around 200km self supported in both the Cairngorms and on the Isle of Skye, summiting 11 Munros (unless something goes wrong…) and all the proceeds go straight to the Ruth Strauss Foundation.

Once again any donation or awareness about the charity is a huge help and what they do is both really important but also really difficult.
