Support Our Seed Exchanges for 2025
Donation protected
Hello Friends,
We grew by three in one year! Our newest seed libraries at the Napa Library, Carneros Resort, and the American Canyon Parks and Recreation community garden make a total of eight annexes in our network. At these locations and five others you can freely borrow and exchange locally grown organic seeds year-round.
What's our impact? We distribute well over 2,000 seed packets at our annexes to encourage new gardeners to grow and save seeds. We teach an ever-growing number of new and experienced gardeners at in-person skill-sharing workshops, and through easily accessible posts and videos on our website and social media.

How do we do it? As a dedicated group, we volunteer at events, tend to the annexes, and teach ethical and practical seed saving skills. We source, grow, and trade organically grown seeds so that the joy of gardening and tending to our environment can catch on and multiply.

Why do we care? We value the plant biodiversity held within locally adapted seeds and rely on their ability to provide local access to healthy food in a changing climate. We believe in the collective memories, personal stories that come with tending a local seed bank–a library of abundant diversity that enlivens our local plant world. These values and beliefs need our energy to hold our sense of culture, identity, and place at the center of our being.
Our local nonprofit needs YOU to remain viable so that locally grown organic seeds, food, medicine, beauty, and regenerative habitat can multiply in our beautiful, resilient, and abundant Napa County.

Reciprocity and gratitude are the currency that powers our mission. Seeds have the remarkable property of multiplying with every exchange, their energy concentrating as they pass from hand to hand, creating a truly renewable resource–a gift economy–that serves us all.
