Here is the story of my friend from the Gambia who I am creating this GoFundMe for.

Hello my name is Muhammad Fofana I am 19 years old and I am from the Gambia. My parents died years ago and I am the sole caretaker of my 6 siblings.

I embarked on a terrible journey from country to country through the desert in order to reach Europe. Gambia -> Senegal -> Algeria -> Morocco. While on the Morocco Algeria border I had a terrible experience where the Algerian border police beat me and my fellow migrants, they took our clothes, phones, shoes and other articles. I spent one month where I did not here from my siblings. Luckily I was able to escape to Morocco but this turned out to be the worst part of the journey. I stayed for two years in a place where i could not leave due to not having any documentation. I stayed with my cousin whom was close to me and I loved very much and we had planned many things in life but my cousin passed away due to a sudden illness and died quickly. His tragic death has changed my life for the worse where I suffer from nightmares, anxiety and depression. My father passed away due to stomach problems from a lack of clean drinking water. Me and my siblings also suffer from stomach problems for the same reason.

My mother passed away from depression and anxiety due to the stress of being the only one able to take care of me and my siblings.

Right now my sickness is idiopathic. I am feeling general pain in my body from head to toe. Sometimes I when I'm sleeping I get these really bad dreams and wake up shaking and now my way of talking has changed and I cannot even read properly anymore.
