My name is Kristin Chamberlain (36). My husband Tyree (39) has stage 4 Colon Cancer that has spread to his Liver. The doctors were baffled by the severity and aggressive type of cancer due to his young age. Tyree has been doing chemotherapy for the last 2 1/2 years and it was helping until recently. He was diagnosed February 2021, only three months after we got married. Due to the severity of his diagnosis, Tyree was unable to qualify for life insurance. We got married November 14, 2020, we would have loved to have gotten married sooner but Covid regulations made that very difficult. Just recently things took a quick turn for the worse. Tyree is jaundiced, his liver is 40% covered in tumors and is only functioning at about 20%. The doctors have recommended hospice care. Tyree can no longer do chemotherapy because his bilirubin levels are too high. Surgery is also not an option. We have 4 children between the two of us. The oldest, Elias, lives in Ohio with his mom, he is 15. We don't get to see him as much as we would like due to distance. Living in our home, we have a 14-year-old girl, Madison, a 13-year-old boy, Jack, who faces his own challenges. Jack is severely autistic, non-verbal, has mental delay, mild hypotonia, and difficulty eating. Tyree is their stepfather but has raised them for the last 5 1/2 years and they refer to him as Dad. We also have together a 3-year-old boy named Bellamy who is just like his daddy. Tyree is a great father and husband. He loves to hunt, fish, and be out in the mountains. The Dr. says they can't say whether Tyree has weeks or months. We are going to enjoy all the time we can with him. Also hope for miracles. Any donations for our family during this difficult time would be greatly appreciated.
