Climbing Kilimajaro for VSO: The Lake Zone Youth Empowerment Project

I love adventure.

In November 2019, 25 of my Randstad colleagues and I are taking on the challenge to go trekking through the Tanzanian countryside, including Kilimanjaro National Park and a trip to the summit of Mount Meru -- all in aid of VSO  (Voluntary Service Overseas).

After the climb, we'll spend the next several days in the village of Mwumba to participate in VSO projects: 

Lake Zone Youth Employment
Working with young people who didn't complete their education due to teenage pregnancy, early marriage or family poverty, and supporting them to move into employment or self-employment

Tanzania Local Enterprise Development
Working with existing small businesses to support their growth and become tomorrow’s employers or purchasers

All funds raised from the Randstad Kilimanjaro Challenge 2019 will go to VSO youth employment and local enterprise development in Tanzania.
