Mt. Kenya for Kongoni – Let’s Reach 4985 Together
Donation protected
Hi friends,
Over the past five years, I’ve climbed some of Africa’s most iconic peaks — Mt. Kilimanjaro, Mt. Meru, and now, I’m preparing to take on Mt. Kenya, aiming for Point Lenana at 4,985 metres (16,355 ft).
But this climb isn’t just about the summit — it’s about Kongoni School in Navaisha, Kenya, a community that holds a very special place in my heart.
I’ve found so much fulfillment in continuing to support Kongoni since 2023, and with this next challenge, I’m hoping to raise funds to keep several key programs thriving:
• A school lunch program, so every child can learn with a full stomach
• A science lab, to spark hands-on learning and curiosity
• A school garden, where students can grow food and learn sustainability
The climb will take place from August 31 to September 4, 2025, and I’m hoping to raise $1 for every metre climbed — that’s $4,985 in total — by the time we reach our goal.
Whether you give $5, $50, or sponsor a full metre (or more), every contribution helps fuel not just this journey — but the ongoing impact at Kongoni.
Thank you for climbing this mountain with me in spirit, and for helping create meaningful change, one step at a time.
With deep gratitude,
Iqbal
