Mt Isa Suicide Prevention Network

The Suicide Prevention Network is an organisation which helps the community of Mount Isa who's purpose is to bring together like-minded members of the community with the aim to reduce suicide through raising awareness, reducing stigma, promoting help-seeking behaviour, and educating and resourcing the community.

The SPN is driven by the Community for the Community. The critical aim of the Network is to raise awareness of suicide and for the community to be comfortable to talk about suicide.

In collaboration with Custom Steel Fab, Mount Isa Copper Concentrator has embarked on a suicide awareness campaign to fund-raise for this network, which plays a vital role in community support for the local area.
