Mayfield, KY Tornado Relief

My name is Ratul Ahmed. Both of my hometown's of Mayfield, KY and Bowling Green, KY were leveled from tornados and wind storms on December 10, 2021. Friends are without homes, shelter, food, or resources. I am collecting on behalf of the Muslim communities in Lexington, KY & Columbus, OH.

 

I am fundraising to provide supplies such as water, baby food, formula, pillows, hygiene items, gloves, sock caps, and other essentials. Shelters are being set up at local churches by local authorities who are providing lists of items needed. Using your donations I will purchase supplies and take them to Mayfield. Funds will be used exclusively for supplies and to support local shelters in Mayfield. A separate fundraiser will be organized for Bowling Green, KY.

 

SHARE Kentucky will accept tangible donations at 572 Georgetown Street, Lexington, KY 40508. Items you can donate include: coats, socks, shoes, personal hygiene items, feminine care, and canned food.

 

Relief efforts to rescue people from rubble are still ongoing and the local authorities have asked volunteers to standby until they these are efforts have concluded. We will coordinate volunteer relief efforts from Lexington, KY.
