As a child, his family moved to the United States from Mauritius, and after heartbreaking setbacks, was unable to gain his citizenship. Because of this, life has been extremely unstable for my friend, and if you have ever met this person, you would know that his kindness and love are deserving of a great life!

Despite these setbacks, he was on his way to being financially secure enough to achieve his dream of becoming a citizen...until the pandemic happened. He was let go from his job in March of 2020, and because of his immigration status, was unable to collect unemployment. He had to survive on his savings.
