The time has come. After decades of service to children and parents seeking Waldorf and Waldorf-inspired programs, Ms. Tracey retires this Friday.

Unlike a career in public education or university, the path Tracey chose does not end with a gold watch or an event with thunderous applause. There is no fanfare or admiration from peers.

There is only the last load of dishes, the last time the classroom gets swept, the chairs put up on the table one last time before the classroom is forever dismantled and a family living room is put in place.
