Ms. Grattan goes to Tanzania, Africa

There isn't anything quite like the innocent smile of a child. There is so much hope and possibility in their eyes, and that is something that should never be taken away from them. However, sometimes we can not stop all the negativity in the world, but we can lend a helping hand. I have always known what I wanted to do with my life, and that is to help children who come from troubled homes keep that sparkle of hope alive in their hearts. I have signed up with International Volunteer HQ to work with the locals in Tanzania. These villages do not have access to basic services including clean running water, regular electricity, free public education and health/welfare services. There, I will assist with restoring schools, teaching and childcare. Coming from an educational background I want to use the tools I have learned to help educate others to achieve.
As part of my fundraising incentive I have decided to participate in a half marathon run as my first challenge. This will be happening on the 8th of October in Windsor. It is the Dorney half marathon. Please do come along to support and donate if you can.
There will be many more incentives to come so watch this space.
