Project Peru 2025 - Abigail's off to the Andes!!

Hi my name is Abigail Bramfitt and I have been chosen by my school to go on a fantastic adventure to Peru. I will be part of a team that is going to build a school for the local community in Iquitos, Peru.

Not only will I be helping with the construction of the school but I will be teaching the local children English as well. In return they will be teaching me Spanish and also introducing me to their way of life, customs and cuisine.

I am looking forward to finding out how children are taught in Peru. I am very interested to learn how their school educates children with special needs and compare it to my experiences living with Autism here in England. This will be a very challenging trip especially for someone who struggles to get up for school everyday, let alone going out to build one. But it is a challenge I am looking forward to taking.

Part of the trip includes a night in the Amazon jungle with the snakes, spiders and bugs!!!

This trip is totally self funded with all the monies raised going towards my travel and accommodation, as well as contributing to the material costs for the construction of the school and the equipment within.
