Melanie’s Miles of Hope

Adam and Danny are taking on a number of challenges this year including:

Manchester Marathon 27th April

Leeds Rob Burrow Marathon 11th May and

Castle to Castle 100 mile ultra July .

These 2 are no strangers to gruelling training schedules and challenges but the ultra in July will be their furthest event and have 48 hours to complete the run from Bamburgh to Edinburgh.

Their ambitious challenges this year are raising funds to support a local fund which is currently awaiting charity status, “Melanie’s Miles of Hope”.

Mel was diagnosed with breast cancer at 39 years old in April 2023 and sadly lost her battle in October 2024.

Despite her toughest battle Mel wanted to make a difference to other cancer patients lives all whilst making her daughter proud.

There isn’t a charity that offers practical support so Mel decided to set up her own charity and it was the start of Melanie’s Miles of Hope, a charity for Yorkshire folk.

The aim of the charity is to help fund a wig, to make memories with loved ones, provide practical support for families struggling and give the cancer community a bit of Hope.
