Peace of Mind, One Cast at a Time
Supporting the mental wellbeing of our emergency services through fishing
Every day, our police officers, firefighters, ambulance crews, and NHS staff face unimaginable pressures. They run towards danger, carry the weight of trauma, and often put their own wellbeing second — just to keep others safe.
The Metropolitan Police Angling Society (MPAS) created Peace of Mind, One Cast at a Time to change that — by using the simple, healing power of fishing to support the mental health of our 999 family.
We’ve seen firsthand how time by the water can bring calm after chaos, connection after isolation, and hope after hardship. Fishing gives people a quiet space to breathe, reflect, and reconnect — and we’re building something that makes that opportunity available to every frontline worker who needs it.
Your donation will help us:
Create accessible fishing swims and safe, inclusive spaces for wellbeing events
Run “Fishing for Wellbeing” days to bring emergency service staff together for support and recovery
Provide equipment and coaching for those new to angling
Grow our Buddy Fishing Scheme, connecting serving and retired staff who understand what it means to be on the frontline
Every pound you give helps us offer someone a moment of peace — one cast at a time.
Please support the people who dedicate their lives to supporting all of us.
Whether you can give £5 or £50, it all makes a difference.
