Support for Josh Long’s Medical Recovery

Hello, my name is Joshua Vincent, and I’m raising funds to support my dad, Josh Long, during his recovery from multiple health issues.

My dad has always been a dedicated provider. When I was born, he found out that I wasn’t biologically his, something that would have made most people walk away, but instead he chose to stay. He stood up, loved me, claimed me, and raised me as his own from day one. He has been there for me in every way that matters: emotionally, physically, and financially, always making sure my brother and I had what we needed, even after he and our mom went their separate ways.

A year and a half ago, my dad suffered a widow-maker heart attack that required two stents. Despite the severity of his condition, he returned to work only three days later. Unfortunately, his insurance has not paid for the heart attack expenses, and he continues to pay for costly medications, including daily blood thinners.

Recently, my dad had to undergo spinal surgery (anterior cervical discectomy and fusion with plate and screws) to address pain and serious nerve compression. His recovery is proving to be a bit more difficult than he anticipated.

My dad had to miss or leave several work stops leading up to this surgery. His unemployment claim is at a standstill and unlikely to come through. There’s also uncertainty over whether insurance will cover the spine surgery, leaving him responsible for large medical bills, deductibles, and prescription costs.

My dad has always been the type of person to help others without hesitation and now he's the one who needs help. I’m asking for donations to help cover his medical bills, medications, and living expenses while he heals and gets back on his feet. My dad didn’t have to raise me, but he chose to. And now, I want to help him the way he’s always helped me.
