Marina Portela is known by many as a dedicated and hardworking individual who has contributed positively to our community for years. However, recent struggles with severe mental health issues, particularly schizophrenia, have turned her life upside down. Unfortunately, this has led her to a situation where she no longer has access to her medication and is now living on the streets after her car, her only shelter, broke down and was towed away.

Adding to her hardships, she is burdened with legal debts exceeding $3,700, a situation beyond her control.

There is a glimmer of hope as Marina's mother is on her way from Brazil to offer her the support she desperately needs. However, urgent financial assistance is crucial to ensure Marina has a safe place to stay, access to necessary medication, and to settle her legal obligations when her mother arrives.
