Hello All,

I was born and raised in good ol' Arcata, California. I left to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Dominican University of California. While there I met a professor heavily involved in Malaria research in the Tororo region of Uganda. He goes for 2 months every summer with an anti-malarial drug trial and treatment group through the research division of UCSF.

I grew up participating in every outdoor activity imagineable; hiking, backpacking, surfing, swimming, biking, and thanks to my parents I want to see and help the world.
 I have been in contact with my professor since graduation, and he recently told me that he has received a new grant to continue his research group and needs volunteers this summer; however, there is no funding for travel or housing. Being a college student my pockets are not exactly busting at the seams with money! I am hoping to raise enough funds to pay my way there and back, anything will help!
