Triathalon on behalf of Moycarkey Coolcroo AC.

Hi!!
Tommy (Dad) and I are competing in a relay Triathlon on July 30th to raise money for the Moycarkey Coolcroo Athletic Club Development Fund.
This sprint triathlon will involve a 750m Swim, 32km Cycle & 5km run, and as I only recently progressed from the doggy paddle this will be no easy feat!
All money raised will go directly to the Moycarkey Coolcroo AC development fund, who are raising money to develop an Olympic size track and field facility in Littleton. The proposed facility will be built to international standards and to IAAF Specifications.
The new development will include:
- 400m Olympic sized athletics track
- 500m Walking track - 2m wide - fully accessible
- Cross Country Course
- Events Area for Discus, Hammer, High Jump, Hurdling, Javelin, Long Jump, Middle Distance, Pole Vault, Race Walking, Shot, Sprinting, Steeple Chase, Triple Jump and Weight for Distance
The track will be a fantastic amenity for the local community and will benefit the whole parish of Moycarkey Borris and surrounding areas. When complete, the facility will be suitable for hosting International competitions. It will be in high demand by athletes looking for qualification standards for international and Olympic competitions.
Moycarkey Coolcroo AC was a big part of both our childhoods, with lifelong friendships and memories made there. The club and it’s Committee have been working hard to raise funds to complete this development, with more initiatives planned for later this year, and we hoping to help out in some small way.
All and any donations are greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much-
Tommy & Orlaith
