Moving Mountains: Andy’s Forever Family
Spende geschützt
In November 2023, we opened our door—and our hearts—to a 10-year-old boy who had already lived in three homes in four months. We didn’t know his full story. We didn’t know the difficulty of his circumstances. We just knew he deserved, like every child, for someone to say, “You are wanted, and you belong.” The original plan was to provide stability and healing until his family circumstances improved then he would return home. That plan changed and "Andy" is now an orphan.
Andy has grown to become deeply loved by our family and all in the community who know him. He is a bright and generous young man who continuously demonstrates empathy and genuine concern for those in need. I am amazed at his resilience and the hope he has for his future. He has been through unspeakable and difficulty things in his short life but has not given up hope yet.
We passionately desire to adopt Andy. Unfortunately, a mountain stands in our way. “Andy” was born in Guatemala and brought to the U.S. without documentation. Before he entered foster care, he had no legal identity—no Social Security number, no immigration status, no path forward. To adopt him, we must navigate a long, expensive, and emotionally grueling legal process involving both adoption and immigration attorneys. We’ve hired the best legal team in Indianapolis. We are ready to fight. But the truth is—we need help.
We are reaching out to our community, our friends, our village, pleading for your support.
This is not just paperwork. This is a child’s life. This is a boy who has already lost everything once.
We cannot let him lose again. If you’ve met Andy, you know he is extraordinary. He is gentle, joyful, and wise beyond his years. He has endured trauma, abandonment, and uncertainty—and yet he still believes in love. He still believes in family. Please, help us give him the ending he deserves. Help us give him a name that will never be taken away. Help us give him a place to belong—not just today, but forever. We believe in a God who moves mountains. And we are begging Him to move this one. We believe that Andy was never forgotten by Heaven—and we refuse to let him be forgotten here on Earth.
Matthew 17:20
He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
