Moving Mirfield Miniatures to a better location

We've been at our current store location for ten years: its where I established our gallery, and where Mirfield Miniatures came into being around six years ago. Whilst the location has many positives, its negative points have started to come to the fore recently. Sandwiched between other businesses and being subject to inconsiderate behaviour takes some of the sparkle out of what we do. That, and the fact that the property is rented, needs consideration before launching into another five year lease period.

My preferred solution - to purchase a property that gives us our own space, and which isn't likely to be impacted by the noise issues that I currently face. I've identified a suitable property and have already raised a substantial deposit, but I need a little more. The new property will offer customer parking and allow me to tackle the disabled access issue which has long hindered visits for some customers. As much as anything else, its an infinitely better thing to be pushing funds into a mortgage and purchasing a business asset, than to keep handing over rent to a landlord (I think that to date, I've paid in a little north of £215k during my time here).

I have a wonderful, supportive customer base. You've always been on board for helping out and getting involved: keeping this little ship afloat. I hope you don't mind me asking for that help again? The idea that I've come up with will (hopefully) be a great benefit to you if you're planning a purchase of any product from our Games Workshop stand. In return for a minimum donation of £30, I'll offer an additional 10% discount on any purchases that you make throughout 2025* (not from the 2nd hand stock, though - sorry). So GW stock will be available to you at 70% rrp rather than our usual 80% rrp offer. If you spend £300 a year on hobby product (which we all do!) then you'll see your contribution returned in discount. I also hope to have some limited edition pin badges produced for supporters of this project.
