Get These Kiddos to Colorado to See Their Mama!

Hello! My name is Kayla and I am fundraising for my sister Whitney and her three adorable little chilly beans. Their names are Daniella, who is 4, Alex, who is 3, and Tyra, who is 18 mos.

Whitney was able to move back to Colorado to be with the rest of our family after leaving a, let's say, less than favorable home situation out in New York with her husband. Without going into too much detail, the home in New York is currently shared by the dad, 3 of his family members, and the 3 kids. The house only has 3 bedrooms, so the kids share with 1 of his family members, and the conditions of the rest of the house are very poor. There is no running water so none of the bathrooms work, and the house itself is falling apart in many ways. The kids are not allowed outside, and rarely out of their room. They do not get fed or bathed properly and they just overall do not have a healthy living situation. While Whitney was still there, she was not "allowed" to see the kids as her husband would take them up to their room whenever she came home. She would get constantly locked out of the house, having to find places to spend the night, and if she was ever in the house, she suffered abuse in many ways.

Whitney is currently going through the court system to finalize her divorce and more importantly, get full custody of her kiddos to get them out of these conditions. The kids are taking turns staying with their dad over in New York, and with Whitney here in Colorado every other month. Whitney is now working a full-time job and saving as much money as she can to pay for the different attorney fees and multiple flights back and forth to the different states every month. However, it's a slow rolling ball as she is making payments on those things as well as just general cost of living, all on minimum wage.

That being said! I would like to ask for help in raising the money to cover the remaining flights and her attorney fees to take that financial burden off of her shoulders in this stressful time.

So, first of all, please join me in prayer that the court will see that Whitney has a better support system, better living conditions, and better overall quality of live to provide to these kids. They are so loved by all their aunts, their uncle and their grandma and grandpa out here in Colorado and we would love nothing more than to contribute to their well being by having them out here. They would be moving into their grandparents' house, where Whitney currently lives, and they would have their own room, a playroom, a huge front and back yard to play in, lots of food and clean water, and lots of love!

I am putting this fundraiser together with full expectation that we can meet this goal and that Whitney will be able to take her kids home with her after their final court date in August.
