October is suicide awareness month, and this cause is deeply personal to me. I survived a time when hope felt out of reach, and as a retired certified peer specialist I have seen how a simple outreach or a few minutes of care can change a life. I know how powerful it is to connect, to be seen, and to get help when it matters most.
For the next 30 days I am committing to 10 minutes of movement each day—walking, stretching, dancing, or just taking a quiet moment to breathe. This small act is a reminder that we are worth showing up for. I am partnering with TWLOHA because they meet people where they are, offering peer support groups and scholarships for treatment and recovery that directly save lives.
Your support will help provide crucial hours of mental health care through TWLOHA's Peer Support Groups and Treatment and Recovery Scholarship Program. Every donation furthers their mission to present hope and find help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicidal thoughts. Together we can turn survival into recovery and isolation into community.
Please join me in supporting TWLOHA. Give what you can, share this page, and help spread hope so more people get the care they need.
