Hi All,

I have been asked to take part in the Mourneabbey Movie Awards which will take place on Saturday 07th of February 2026 in Charleville Park Hotel.

I will be making my acting debut in the TV series 'Derry Girls' playing Gerry (Tommy Tiernan-we've got matching receding hairlines I'm being told). I'm currently practicing to get my monotone northern accent just right!!!!

Mourneabbey is a proud and progressive community, situated a few miles south of Mallow on the banks of the River Clyda. Although it is a small community in size, its heart is large. Since 1974, our community complex has served as our home. Previous generations have established a legacy by providing a space where individuals of all ages, families, and local groups can gather to participate in sports and engage in activities that benefit our society.

Our community complex is distinguished by its partnership model, which brings together Mourneabbey Community Council and our local clubs , especially Clyda Rovers GAA and Mourneabbey Ladies Football Club.

Since early this century, we have worked hard to improve our facilities for the benefit of the community and parish visitors. The 2021-2026 community development plan is approaching completion. There are a number of remaining projects that are scheduled to be undertaken , most notably:

• New Multipurpose Room to be constructed adjacent to the Existing Community Centre

• Grass/Astro Pitch Improvements, Necessary Equipment to help maintain our clubs & complex.

There are over 100 people who have been cast in different TV series/movies, so we are hoping to raise a lot of money to help these project come to reality.
