I’m reaching out during one of the most challenging times of my life. I never imagined I’d be here, but life has taken an unexpected turn and I’m in need of support.

After 23 years of building a family and a life together, I am now going through a high conflict and emotionally taxing divorce. The legal process has been more complicated and drawn out than I ever anticipated. In a few short months, I’ve already incurred over $25,000 in legal fees, with more on the horizon as the proceedings continue.

I am covering 100% of the expenses related to my children’s care, education, and daily needs. As the sole financial provider for my children, I’m doing everything I can to give them stability even preparing to send my daughter to college next fall. The timing of this all has been quite devastating.

On top of the emotional toll, we’ve also experienced the devastating loss of our home. The financial strain is overwhelming, and though I’ve done everything I can to manage, the mounting legal costs have sent me into financial ruin, and it has been nearly impossible to keep up without asking for help. My ex is deliberately prolonging this battle, fully aware of the financial strain it’s placing on me and my children. I’m not just fighting to protect my rights—I’m fighting to protect my children’s future.

This has been incredibly humbling, embarrassing, and emotionally exhausting. But I’m swallowing my pride and asking for help because I don’t know what else to do for my children and fight for the peace and stability we deserve.

This is incredibly difficult for me to share—asking for help does not come easy. But my priority is to ensure my children are supported, stable, and able to move forward despite the hardship. Any contribution, no matter the size, would go DIRECTLY toward legal fees.
