I’m running the Chester Marathon in October 2025 and want to raise money in aid of Mountbatten Hampshire Ltd. The staff at Mounbatten provided oustanding end of life care for both my Gramps and Nan Iris, so I’ve seen first hand how important the charity's work is. — More information about Mountbatten Hampshire Ltd: Mountbatten is the local hospice for Southampton and large parts of Hampshire, providing free care and support for people with life-limiting illness. Much of our work takes places in people's own homes, supporting over 1,600 people in any one day. Our services also include bereavement counselling , rehabilitation, support, advice, equipment provision and symptom management. As well as caring for patients in their own homes, we operate a 21-bed inpatient unit offering 24-hour specialist palliative care.
