Hi Friends!

I am coming to you with my hand out, asking if you would be interested in helping us provide some housing solutions for some friends of ours.

We met these friends about 10 years ago through the Tourette Association of Florida, and immediately liked them. They had two sons, the oldest with severe Tourette and the younger child with severe scoliosis. Shortly after we met them, they moved up here and now live in the Bryson city/Alarka area. The oldest son is a senior in high school and doing well, and the youngest just had major surgery.

I took a meal over there the other day, to assist with daily burdens, and was able to see that their home is in need of repairs, the most urgent of which is that they need their front entry deck rebuilt.

We’ll need funds, volunteers and donations of materials.

This is such an incredible opportunity for anyone to make real and meaningful improvements on the quality of life for an entire family.

I can email you an estimate provided by Mark, our contractor friend up here, along with a scope of work for the project. We need donations of money, supplies, and food. Mark is donating his time.

you can donate here, and Evergreen Mountain Realty Group will match any monetary donations up to $2600. Overages will be used to pay for additional expenses like dumpster, disposal fees, unforeseen circumstances, with any remainder being given to the family to compensate for loss of income and travel expenses.
