Hi, and welcome to my gofundme page! My name is Eymard Brennan, from Raphoe in County Donegal, Ireland, and I’m sending you this link because I need your help.
As a father who is very lucky to have three healthy children I want to raise money for two reasons: to help the family of a little girl I know to get the treatment that she needs in her fight against cancer, but also to help the children who attend Crumlin Children's Hospital. So to raise funds I have entered the “Joberg2c Mountain Bike Challenge” (more info here http://joberg2c.co.za).
To complete this challenge I will have to cycle 900km in 9 days, travelling from Johannesburg to Scottburgh, in South Africa; starting on Monday April 16th and finishing on Saturday April 28th. This will be a big challenge to say the least with cramping muscles, saddle sores and maybe there'll be the odd swear word and a few tears along the way too! But I'm ready for it and it will be for a great cause.
However I need your help.
I have already paid for flights, entry fees and all other expenses associated with this event so just to be clear that 100% of all donations received will go to my chosen charities.
Specifically the money I will raise will go to Crumlin Children’s Hospital in Dublin the fundraising body for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital http://www.olchc.ie) a place in which, I have no doubt, many parents have spent more than one or two sleepless nights. I will also donate 50% of the money raised to the parents of a little four year old girl from my local area in Donegal who currently has a battle on her hands. With your donation, no matter how small, we can help this little girl, and future children and grandchildren who attend Crumlin Children's hospital, so that they can receive the treatment and help they need, without their parents worrying if they can afford it.
My ultimate goal is to raise €9000 which works out at €10 per km. So please give what you can and help me to achieve this target. No donation is too big or too small so please dig deep and show your generosity.
The total amount raised will be split 50/50 between theses two worthy causes. Remember your small change can make a huge change to the lives of these kids.
