This April, I’ll be taking on the challenge of trekking to Mount Everest Base Camp through the Himalayas that will push me both physically and mentally. I’m doing this trek not just for the adventure, but to raise money for Saint Catherine’s Hospice, a place that means a great deal to me personally.

I work at Saint Catherine’s Hospice and see every day the incredible care and compassion they provide to people and families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. The work they do is truly special.

Both of my grandads were cared for by Saint Catherine’s Hospice at the end of their lives. The support, dignity, and kindness they were shown meant so much to my family, and it’s something I will always be grateful for. Because of this, raising money for the hospice is very close to my heart.

The trek to Everest Base Camp will take place in April and involves hiking to an altitude of over 5,300 metres. It will be tough, but knowing that every step can help support the hospice will keep me going.

Any donation, big or small, would mean the world and will help Saint Catherine’s Hospice continue providing their incredible care to those who need it most.
