Lethbridge Park Mosque was first opened in Ramadan 2023 by The Australian Arabic Association of Western Sydney Incorporated (TAAAWSI). TAAAWSI was first created in 2009 as a non for profit community run organisation that aimed to show non-Muslims the beauty of Islam and bring Muslims in the Mount Druitt area closer to their religion. Up until 2023 the organisation ran Friday prayer and other community events in Mount Druitt community hall. Now the new Mosque resides in 9 Apia Place, Lethbridge Park and acts as a place of worship for Muslims in the community as well as a space for community events. “The Masjid has become a beacon for new revert Muslims from the Aboriginal and Pacific Islander communities” ~ Mosque President
