Mother Seeks Justice After Years of Abuse

Psalm 62:2-3 " My soul rests in God alone from whom comes my salvation; God alone is my rock and salvation, my fortress; I shall never fall.

My soul has rested with God a lot and it is with fervent prayer that I write this asking others in Christ for help.

I am currently going through a custody battle trying to bring my two oldest children to my home full-time. I opened the case in 2024, after my ex-husband, after years of physical and emotional abuse, hit the final straw when he announced he was going to move the children away again. I have been representing myself so far in court and have had no success other than more structured visitation. The courts do not listen to those who represent themselves. I was even sued by my ex-husband, after filing custody charges, for a substantial amount despite an agreement we had.

I was ready to give up, but God wants me to keep trying. My last resort is to gain representation through an attorney. This is obviously a high cost, but my children mean the world to me. My father is helping the best he can, but I am asking for help covering the cost of retaining counsel. The starting rate is roughly 5,000. I recently was laid off and attempting to find work during all this stress as well.

I am pleading with you to find it in your soul to help financially if you can. If not, please send prayers for not only me but my kids. They are the ones deeply affected. Thank you for reading this and please help me bring my kids home with me for good.
