Mother of three children killed
As-salamu alaykum (peace be upon you), on July 19th my sister Bilkis, who was a mother was killed in a fatal car accident. As a single mother for few years after her husband passed away from cancer 10 years ago she faced significant hardship, overcoming numerous obstacles and making many sacrifices to offer the best upbringing she could for her two children Lamisa and Taqib. Later on she remarried and had a son Aryan who is only 5 years old . On the day of the accident she was 9 months pregnant. Tragically the baby succumbed to the injuries in the hospital. Unfortunately, her life was cut short as she was returning home after dropping off food for her sister in law. She was killed by a 70 year old who missed the crossing signal and hit her and she died on the spot .
Beyond her final moments, Bilkis did an incredible job of raising Lamisa, a 21 year old girl who is extremely bright, compassionate and kind. Taqib who is 15 year old is a very gentle, kind and very involved in the community helping people in need .While young Aryan who is 5 years has dealt with the situation with exceptional grace and patience, any boy of his age would inevitably feel the impacts of losing their mother. He was incredibly attached to her.
While a mother figure is irreplaceable, it is our responsibility as a community to come together to support orphaned children like Lamisa,Taqib and Aryan ensure that they can still move forward in their lives with hope and opportunity.
By supporting us financially, you will be helping us with legal expenses related to the death of Bilkis. All other funds will go towards supporting Lamisa, Taqib and Aryan's upbringing under the custodianship of his father. As his father is a uber driver he can't work in the near future as he has to take care of the 3 children any donations made will go a long way towards ensuring the 3 kids have a promising future ahead, easing the financial burden of these tragic circumstances. We hope you can consider the difficulty of the situation our family is facing.
Support the family as you would like others to support your own children in such a situation. Every dollar, every share and every du'a counts, so please do not spare any avenues in supporting him.
Remember that 'Charity does not decrease wealth' - Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) and '...Indeed, Allah rewards the charitable' - Surah Yusuf, 88
Once again, thank you all so much.
