Mother of four with Glioblastoma

Hey everyone, my name is Sam, and I'm starting this for my dear friend Sara Bly and her beautiful family.

Sara is a long-time resident of Southington, Connecticut. Sara is a lover of all things! Music, thrifting, creating, but mostly her family.

Sara has four beautiful children and three precious grandchildren. Her husband is Russell Bly, her rock!!

Sara has had Colitis for about 18 years, then progressed to Chrons disease. Through the years, Sara has had infusions and multiple hospitalizations due to this illness. Sara had decided to have a procedure last year to have her colon removed. Unfortunately, the first procedure did not take, and she had to go in again for additional surgery to do revision surgery. On May 16, 2022, Sara went to the hospital due to severe headaches, prompting doctors to run some tests where they would find a massive brain tumor. Doctors immediately decided on emergency brain surgery. They initially got about 97% of the tumor. After waiting a week for oncology reports, Sara was diagnosed with Glioblastoma. This week Sara took a turn for the worse; at this point, doctors are doing what they can to make her comfortable so her family and friends can be with her, praying for the best outcome.

This is for the Bly Tribe as Sara would call them. Russell has three kids living home still. Chelsea 18, Dylan 15, and Sugaree 9. Their oldest son, Forrest, his wife Casey, and their three children live in their own home.
